ROY AND DALEReviewed by Shirley Tomaeno, 2009-04-25
THIS WAS PURCHASED AS A GIFT FOR A FRIEND THAT IS A FAN OF THEIR SINGING. SHE WAS JUST THRILLED TO RECEIVE IT.

Bought on a 'whim'. I really enjoyed all the songs. They brought back memories of childhood!

If you like Western songs then this is a great one to have.

If you like the Sons of the Pioneers then you have already heard the songs on this album, proformed almost identically. The only diference is Dale Evans, but since Roy was a member of the sons I guess it should be expected. If you haven't listened to any of the son's albums then Songs of the old west is worth your buck.

Sorry, Boys!
Although I thought the world of Roy & Dale, this album won't
cut the mustard. I only had to listen to the previews to tell you
that. This is not one of the better Sons of The Pioneers with Roy
& Dale albums. This is one of those "times are changin' so
let's slick this one up" albums. They slicked it up alright. Slid
right outta my fingers and back to the rack.
Sorry, but I like the albums that have the "old" sound to 'em.
Like they were singin' on the trail...not in the studio, with all
those fancy voice enhancers. Just my two cents worth.
